Xiaomi Redmi 5A Lake Blue Version Launched in India
Xiaomi on Thursday has launched Redmi 5A Lake Blue variant in India. The company also revealed that it sold 5 million units of Redmi 5A since the launch. It launched the Redmi 5A back in November last year in India and introduced Rose Gold version of the mobile phone last month.
This is a huge feat since as it took 6 months for the Redmi Note 4 to sell 5 million units, that too with the help of its offline partners. This is the reason it increased the starting price of smartphone back to Rs. 5,999 from Rs. 4999, as it had said at the launch.
Apart from the color, other specifications are similar of Redmi 5A Lake Blue variant, the phone sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and runs MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM and 16GB/ 32GB inbuilt storage options.
Redmi 5A comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with features like f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and PDAF. While on the front, it has a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It packs 3000mAh battery, with a claimed 8-day battery life, under the hood.
Connectivity options on include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Redmi 5A also has a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and an accelerometer.
All the four color variants of the Redmi 5A went on sale today exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com online starting at Rs. 5999. Next sale will happen on March 22.
