Vodafone VoLTE Services in Karnataka Launched
Vodafone has introduced the Vodafone VoLTE services in Karnataka in India. The Voice Over LTE service is launched in Karnataka, after Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh (UP) west. At present, it is available in Bengaluru, Mysore and Belgaum, and will gradually roll out across the other cities in the state.
Vodafone said that the technology delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network so that people will experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise. The company is calling Vodafone VoLTE services in Karnataka as the ‘Super VoLTE’.
If users have a VoLTE enabled handset, then they can SMS 4G CHECK to 199 to know if their smartphone is Vodafone Super VoLTE compatible. Also if they have Dual SIM handset, then Vodafone SIM should be inserted in the SIM slot with data capability and network mode should be set as “4G/3G/2G (Auto)”.
Vodafone already said that it will roll out VoLTE service in Kolkata soon, and will extend the service around the country in a phased manner over the next few months.
