OnePlus 5T Starts Rolling Out Android 8.0 Oreo-based OxygenOS First Open Beta Update

OnePlus has finally released the OxygenOS Open Beta 1 that brings Android 8.0 Oreo for OnePlus 5T. The update brings with it a number of changes such as picture-in-picture mode, Auto-fill, smart text selection, and an improved launcher. It also includes the December 2017 Android security patch.

Android 8.0 Oreo also has background limits that put a big priority on improving your battery life, snoozing that lets you to snooze notifications to reappear later and wide-gamut color for Apps among many other things.

As this is the first beta update you’ll need to flash it manually by downloading the ROM, which is 1.6GB size from downloads.oneplus.net. You should get the OTA update automatically from second beta. The final Android Oreo update for the smartphone will be released by early 2018.
