HMD Global Launches Nokia 3310 4G Smartphone in China
HDM Global has now officially launched Nokia 3310 4G smartphone in China. The company unveiled the phone weeks after receiving TENAA certification. It has listed the 4G variant of the Nokia 3310 on the official Nokia site and has partnered with China Mobile to make the new model available in the country. There are no details about the mobile phone price and global availability of Nokia 3310 4G smartphone, but will probably be announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Spain next month.
The mobile phone is available as an upgrade to the modernized Nokia 3310 that was launched in a 2G version in India last year in May. Unlike the Nokia 3310 2G that runs Nokia Series 30+ OS, the 4G variant comes with YunOS that is a forked Android version built by China’s Alibaba. The phone also features a preloaded MP3 player. The China launch was first reported by Nokia Power User. Nokia 3310 4G smartphone comes in Fresh Blue and Deep Black color options.
The YunOS-based Nokia 3310 4G has a 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) color display. Compared to 16MB storage available on its original 2G version, the 4G edition has 256MB of RAM and 512MB of onboard storage that is expandable through microSD card (up to 64GB). The phone also sports a 2-megapixel camera sensor on the back with an LED flash. Furthermore, it packs a 1200mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to five hours of talk time on a 4G VoLTE network and 16 hours of music playback on a single charge. Additionally, it has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
