Apple iPhone SE 2 to Reportedly Unveil in Early 2018

Apple might launch the iPhone SE second generation in the first half of 2018 as per the Taiwan’s Economic Daily News. The second generation iPhone SE 2 will be assembled exclusively at its factory in Bengaluru, India by Taiwanese manufacturer Wistron where the current generation iPhone SE are being made.

The iPhone SE 2 new rumors release date falls in line with the previous reports from ‘Focus Taiwan’ who back then declared that the new iPhone SE would start shipping in the first quarter of 2018 which is from January to March.  The current iPhone SE was launched back in 2016 in March and went on for sale a month later. Taking the cue from the previous launch, the new SE 2 might be announced around the same time.

The iPhone SE 2, which is expected to be manufactured in India, is expected to be powered by the Apple A10 chipset found in the iPhone 7. The iPhone SE in comparison has the Apple A9 processor. Design wise, it is extremely unlikely that Apple will equip the iPhone SE with an edge-to-edge display. Either an iPhone 7/8 like design or a continuation of the same iPhone 5s design seems most likely.

The iPhone SE 2 is expected to stick with a 4-inch display. However, some rumours do claim that Apple might bump up the screen slightly to 4.2-inches. It is also expected to come with 32/128GB of internal storage and a 1,700mAh battery.
